John and Calina got engaged in beautiful Destin, FL, and wanted to continue their beach theme with an elopement to Savannah to get married in one of the city’s historic squares. Unfortunately Hurricane Matthew was on its way, and had other plans for their day. Calina contacted us Thursday afternoon, distraught that their trip been canceled due to weather. Sweet Grass Weddings team to the rescue! We designed, planned, coordinated, and executed this beautiful ceremony all in less than 48 hours.
“When we had to change our plans, I looked online to discover SGW,” explains Calina. “When I was contacted by Anna after sending in a query from their website, she called me within 30 minutes. The good news was that she had a cancellation for Saturday and was able to take care of us…a gesture that I cannot be thankful enough for.” The Sweet Grass Weddings team met the couple at the garden location in Kennesaw, armed with flowers, an officiant, and ample excitement for John and Calina’s special day.

“Our drive up to Kennesaw from Columbus, GA was perfect, as it allowed us to spend time together before saying ‘I do.’ Time well spent and valued, says Calina. “My other favorite part was when John tried to put the ring on my finger during our vows… he couldn’t get it over my knuckle and it made him chuckle!”
The groom chuckles; the bride laughs radiantly.
“The experience working with Anna and Justin was GREAT! Anna was very thorough and helped shape the event just perfectly. SGW really made our wedding special and simple, which is exactly what we wanted.” Cheers, John and Calina! While your ceremony was small and short, we are confident that your marriage will be anything but.
